Isaac Owens began his dance training at the age of 18 with Jan Woodward at the Fine Arts Center of Greenville, SC. While studying he performed in Brazil, Mexico, and around the USA in a number of festivals and concerts. He later was accepted into the Contemporary Dance program at the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts. After leaving the program and traveling the country he continued his dance training at Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Since moving to NY he has had the pleasure of working with choreographers such as Jacqulyn Buglisi in The Table of Silence Project, and Eryn Renee Young of XAOC Contemporary Ballet. He currently dances with Mari Meade Dance Collective and Periapsis Music and Dance and is a certified Pilates instructor.
